August 15 pool party after church

Wanted to remind everybody....
Mike and Connie Askew are hosting a pool party after church on August 15.

Bring your family's lunch, fast food, brown bag sandwiches, picnic. soft drinks, etc.

We look forward to seeing everybody who can make it!

Men's Group and July 4th Shin Dig at Hicks Home

1) CHANGE OF DAY....Men's Small Group will be meeting on TUESDAY...not Wednesday at 6:00AM at Starbucks - Alcoa Hwy, across from Airport. Related to conflicts with schedules...we are trying Tuesday to pick up some extra folks. I hope this works better. We had our first meeting last week and had 6 men...please come and join us. We are meeting for brotherhood and accountabilty.

2) Independence Day shin-dig at Jimmy and Wendy Hicks Home in Maryville.
After Church - we will be gong to Hicks home for Lunch...bring your own "Brown Bag" or fast food, etc. for your family. It is a great time for fellowship.
If you are willing, bring HOME MADE ICE CREAM.
Bring your bathing suit or at least your kids bathing suits so the kids can swim in the Hick's pool.

CAMPING JUNE 4-6, 2010 Bandy Creek

We have decided to take charge of the class camping trip to Bandy Creek at Big South Fork.

We have looked at the available dates and all of May is reserved already. The first weekend of

June (Fri the 4^th – Sun the 6^th) has several sites together at a cul-de-sac. The loop is D loop.

It has hook ups for those of you with campers. The price is $22/night. We

would like to try to have our reservations made by next weekend (April 30 –May 1). If you think you would like to

go or would like more info, email us. I think the best thing would be for everyone to make their

own reservations through the website. We can tell you the website and which sites we are thinking

of. I know it seems early but this is such a nice campground it fills up REALLY fast. There is a swimming

pool, a large open field for games (football, badminton, etc), a sand volleyball court and there used to be

a big swingset/play structure which was taken down but supposed to be rebuilt, hiking trails at the campground

and down the road, the river, fishing, etc…..

The weather should be nice at this time and hopefully not too hot yet. Please let us know if you would like to go.

FLAPJACK FEST 2009....we had a hoot! We rode around the loop at Cades Cove and finished off with tasty FLAPJACKS!!!
I am so excited about this year and all the great times we can have together.Smiles on every face!!!
EVERYONE had a good time....this year be a part of our outings.

Class COOKOUT MAY 1st, 2010

Spring Class cookout will be May 1st at David and Michelle Jenkins Home in Maryville. Their home is on Louisville Road. We will begin at 4pm Grills will be set up and each family will provide and cook their own meat. Bring yard games. Laura Watren is heading up the gathering with Michelle as the host.
