LOGOS - ALLENDER CLASS BLOG

ALLENDER - Sunday 9:30 AM Room 2225.

The Allender class is a group of married - wider than normal range of folks 35-50 aged followers of Christ. (We are NOT Pharisees on the age-thing.) Our primary purpose is to meet together at least weekly to encourage each other to grow in our walk with Christ.

Out the outset, we wanted a catchy name, so Logos Class was our original name..the Log-os, the WORD of God...is the center of our class. The name changed to Allender Bible Fellowship Class, because...well that is how it is done in our church.
Our class is committed to use God's word as the foundation of all of teaching and communication of truth and that has never changed. Man's opinion, pop-culture and the latest trends will never be exchanged for God's unwavering truth. Join us as we study God's word and apply it to our lives, and live life together.
John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word (Log'os)is truth. (nasb)

We believe the disciple's life was never intended to be lived in isolation. We need to live closely with other disciples to develop into the men and women God intends us to become. Our Lord Jesus, chose a group of 12 to build deeply into and train in unison. Just before his death for us on the cross He clearly commanded to His disciples and to all of us, that we must love each other. Simply, if we don't watch over and care for each other and spend time together, we can't very well demonstrate "love for each other". Hebrews 10:24-25 isn't a "rock to throw", but a word of encouragement for us to build each other up in Christ. Join us in our fellowship.

Heb 10:24-25.....and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. (nasb)
